Learn about career opportunities in Iberia and Latin America from individuals who have built a career abroad! Panelists will share their own experiences, job openings and opportunities, as well as ways to make yourself competitive candidate for teaching positions in these regions.

Undergraduate and Graduate students can learn about career opportunities in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Hear from three panelists about how they navigated their TESOL careers, starting as undergraduates. The panelists have taught in a wide variety of contexts and locations including being a Peace Corps volunteer, teaching English in China and Latin America, among others. Information about the TESOL Certificate at UW-Madison and teaching licensure will also be given.

Maximillian Gumble from the Chiba Prefecture Board of Education will present information about the Chiba Assistant Language Teacher Program. The program offers full-time teaching positions after graduation. He’ll discuss the teaching position, application process, and details about living and working in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
