My name is Macy and I am originally from Texas. I am a sixth year doctoral student in the English

Language and Linguistics program and I primarily work on Irish accent mapping. I also completed a graduate program in TESOL and a doctoral minor in Chinese (that’s the name of the program, the focus was on culture!). When I’m not working on my dissertation or teaching, I enjoy running and taking my tiny dog, Tucker, on adventures. Tucker and I both enjoy being outside, and we particularly like being at the UW Terrace!
