Biography
I enjoy teaching GELLT students at UW-Madison. Since every teacher is also a student, I have enjoyed learning a lot from my talented ESL students. Besides possessing an undergraduate English degree, I have earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from UW-Madison, with an academic concentration in English composition. Although not raised in an English-speaking household, I learned English by attending school. I am especially interested in understanding the complicated relationship between multilingualism and the valuing or devaluing of multilingual learners in the United States.
